I know this has been done to death. But rims, particularly staggered. So far ive read that handeling worsens if you put staggered rims on a fwd. i was thinking of going 20x8's in the front and 20x9's in the rear. Ill be honest i have no idea about offsets needed or clearence currently but have seen a few members with even 9.5's in the rear. Will definetly be getting rims and from what i read i need around the +42 offset mark for rims like that. Also trying to go with 245's coz only have heard horror stoires with 225s and the tragic amount of sidewall protection on the tyre!

Heres the car.

SOme may disagree but i dont mind the look of the rear wheels sticking out...but thats on a porche..not sure how it would look on a magna.

Btw definetly going chrome. Just gotta get a latest picture of the car so i can hand it to the photoshop guys to see if i go bling bling dolce bmw rims or just nice chrome sports rims.

How is handling worsened if going staggered? You are putting wider wheels/tyres on the back of a FWD car. Personally i wouldn't go staggered on a FWD car, there's a reason people do it on RWD cars but that's just me.

Also BMW wheels won't fit your car, totally different PCD. I suggest you read the tech sections on this page will help you a lot when you go wheel/tyre shopping: http://www.1010tires.com/tech.asp

I think putting staggered rims on a fwd would be pointless as IMHO. I would put the same width rims on it all round, and if you want better grip in the rear, get a suspension specialist to check it out.

lol shoulda mentioned that the staggered setup is PURELY for looks...not really bothered by the handeling/or lack of. By bmw wheels i mean the full chrome bling bling wheels you see on m3's and what not..but on 2nd thought dont think sumething like that would suit a magna..AT ALL.:woot:

Don't do it. Staggered offset perhaps, but **** no to staggered width.

So much for Tyre rotation...but if you do go ahead with it, I'll be interested in your factory rims...

well looks like general consus is to steer clear..so that i shall..and for those that told me to do it with the intention of thinking it'd look crazy weird..may lighting strike you between the eyes! lol. Going rim shopping tomorrow so see what i can scrounge up i suppose!
