View Full Version : Price questions, purchasing brake parts
Hi all,
just want to know where anyone may have got the following parts and whether what I have been quoted is as good as it gets.
Brake discs
Repco
DBA 4417SL & DBA 4417SR - $400 (Slot style)
Pads
Universal Spares
QFM to suit twin piston magna front brakes - $45
Do these prices seem good?
Also, I rang my local ABS today to ask about getting some braided lines made up. They said that they cannot make them up and that I would have to source them elsewhere?? I thought these were the only company making these to ADR compliancy? Anyone know anywhere else?

Rotors
Are these normal slotted rotors or 4000 series wiper slotted rotors?
I would go the latter.
Got them for about $160 each from Hightek Brakes (http://www.hightekbrakes.com.au/) a couple of years ago.
Pads
Which QFM pads are you going for?
There are a few different types.
Braided Brake Lines
If ABS don't want to play ball contact Hightek Brakes or Hoppers Stoppers (http://www.hoppers.com.au/).

4000 series discs, I will call hightek tomorrow. no idea about pads, just asked the dude from Universal Spares. What would be the best ones to go for? Not intending on doing track work. I will call hoppers tomorrow too. Thanks very much Mohit, the calipers came up very sparkly after a clean :D
