I personally don't like the large series 3 wing & prefer the look of my series 2. So I guess if you get the GT taillights & spoiler it will be like mine with the series 3 front & rear inserts which I think would look awesome.

Well, pictures of what you want to do would be good....

....but ive always thought the 380 was big bummed anyway and having a large spoiler only makes it look worse.I dont know which model it is off ,but i thought that the early vrx tails..the clear ones ,always looked good with the small lip spoiler....that flowed from the bootline...

The series III VRX spoiler is the better look I think.

To me the series II spoiler looks small wimpy and underdone.

I will go as far as saying that that the series 3 spoiler finishes an otherwise bland tail.

Sorry, taste is an individual thing. You also need to add the chrome strip, as show below.

I think your car looks great as is. I don't think the GT/VRX lights would be an improvement. The spoiler looks very good when matched with a decent set of wheels and lowering, which you have. Keep the spoiler I say.

not a fan of that wing - looks too 80s - and not a fan of those tail lights either

Mytsgt95, further thinking, I believe you should definitely leave the spoiler on the car.

Your car is unique and is the closest car visually to the TMR380 concept motor show car that started everyone dreaming, as you have the wheels, seats and bonnet from the show car.

Removing the spoiler removes part of the link to the TMR380 line of vehicles and it particular to the show car.

very good point.

if i were to do the gt rear i would get a second boot lid so i could change between the two. but yes very good point.

Apart from the unsightly holes (but for the sake of arguement, let's pretend they're not there), I reckon the car looks way better without the wing. I never liked that high-rise wing anyway, and think the rear end has better shape/lines, etc, without it (the 380 rear is large enough without extra mass). I don't mind those standard tail lights - the extra red in the lenses goes okay with your red car. If you leave it like this, you can put the wing back on in the future.
Having said all that, I do agree with another user's comment that your car and its build has been heavily based on the TMR 380 prototype, and so if you still wish to maintain that image, you'd need to keep the wing on.

It doesnt look like a TMR without the spoiler.

Kind of a waste of money buying all the bits to make it look like a TMR, then removing something that the TMR has.

I do agree that it does look good but if you want to keep it people guessing whether it is a real TMR or not, the spoiler needs to stay.

Cheers

Thanks for the pics. The car looks great but, as JA said, loses the TMR look w/out the wing.

Needs the wing, bud.

The whole car is screaming "ATTENTION!" and the wing is part of that look.

Keep the spoiler to go with the TMR .. buy another 380 GT as well ... then you'll have both :P

Im agreeing with everyone here. I definatly think that you need to keep the wing. The car looks incomplete with out it.

well im gonna stick with the wing mainly because of the whole tmr sex appeal. but im gonna have a play with the tails as there so bland.

Good Choice, but if you are going to replicate a TMR 380 do it properly.

In having a play with the tail lights, I assume you mean with the existing units and not by replacing them (as the VRX/GT won't match your TMR theme, etc etc). So if you're going to play with the current lights, I'm curious what you'd come up with. I suggest giving them a light tint (too much red, but okay for your car). Apart from tinting, the only other option would be Altezzas (only snag being that they don't exist).
Could somebody chop a pic of his car with tinted lights? (Not crazy dark, just sorta cool dark).

Definately tint them mate look a lot better i think. Would only tint the red portions of the lights and leave the clear/silver sections untinted

your on the money sort of. im gonna split the lights and paint the background were the red is black. this way i keep that glossy factory look permanently
