Received the King springs i ordered today, went for the low rear and Super Low front combo
The part numbers i recieved were KCFL-42SL and KCRL-43SP i asked the guy to order low and super low. Does this mean i've got SP's and not lows for the rear or does the part number not mean anything?
Ive read there is a difference between SP springs and Low springs.
If i have the wrong parts for the rear can someone give me the correct part number.

Go check the Kings catalogue,
Looking at the part numbers ;-
KCFL-42SL is a front super low
and KCRL-43SP is a rear SP i.e higher than a low but lower than standard..
BTW, I still cannot believe that anyone would want Superlows. They are just too low, there is just not enough suspension travel left with them to be rally considered safe.
They may look good because Mits as standard have way too much tyre to front guard clearance but as the King Springs catalogue states SuperLows are for show use only.
One decent dip at speed or a corner with a bump under the loaded wheel and you have no suspension travel left.

Wow, finally someone on here who looks past the looks and to the fact they the super lows are not good for street use. Thank you.
Now just to find someone who will also see how the whiteline rear sway bar set up is dangerous the way it mounts to the rear cross beam mounts......

Whiteline swaybars are soo dangerous how they mount to the rear beam cross mounts.

ummm isnt that where the stock sway bar is mounted too? or are you talking about the ones that you have to add on yourself?

Not the ones that mount in the factory area, the ones that have the stupid mounting kits. These mount up on the stud that holds the rear beam, when you put the nut back on, you only have about 5 turns of the nut to tighten it up. The nut has a stepped thread and the lock on the nut does not engage.
Strangly Whiteline think that this is fine.

does this mean that if the car did not originally come with the rear sway bar, you should not use the whiteline sway bar? can you get the proper mounts from mitsu still?

The factory mounts are a welded on bracket that is part of the rear crossmember

+1 for not liking superlows. when i got my last magna it had them in the front. i pulled them out after a few months and put lows in
i was never happy with the way the rear sway bar attached to the cross beam. I got it fixed up by a reputable garage (Heasmans in Sydney) and they dont think it is too much of a problem when I asked them about it. They were more concerned by the thickness of the bunnings-stylee brackets that were supplied hahaha

It begs the question,so how many have failed in service that we know of?
i know the guy that actually designed and made the sway bars before whiteline bought him out. He fitted my shocks and springs and he said that the sway bar design and fitment to the magna is a lot better than some.
