hey i just need a bit of a hand with 1 question :)

i have just installed a 3.5 into my mums wagon and upon removing the old 3.0l engine i forgot to undo the 2 heater hoses that come from the fire wall

so now they are snapped of and there is no way i can put the hoses back on

so


1 can i just run a hose from the engine and just re circulate it with out going threw the heater in the car
2 does the 2 connections really need the water to run threw it and now what will happen with out them connected
worse case...

You can simply bypass the pipes, all they do is run water thru the heater core. Worst case you have no heater.

Yeah just bypass the heater by joining the two hoses together (dont block them)

Even without "genuine" shaped heater hoses, you couldn't just buy soem generic Heater hosing of the reel at Auto Parts store, and use that to join up the heater?
