View Full Version : Dash clock for TH
Hey all,
I'm fairly stunned at this, but unless I'm blind there's no clock in a TH Exec?!?!
Is there a replacement trip display with one, or does anyone have a dead trip display going cheap I can try building my own with?
-Dave-
Also, yes I tried the search, but too many people refer to their Odo as a clock to find anything useful ;)

May well have been in the original head unit and if it was replaced then you lost the clock. The TJ advance had a clock in the radio also, and there aren't too many places you can mount a new one that looks inconspicuous.

Not absolutely sure about TH/KH, but in the TJ era the Verada has a clock in the centre-display (above vents) because the OEM head-unit had no clock..... the clock displays continuously beside the trip-computer read-out, and is set by the mode/up/down buttons of the Speed Alert (set clock with key in Acc position).
I am sure some members have managed to find a Verada centre-display assembly and swap it into a Magna - there ARE threads about it, and some not that long ago, IIRC. Search, tho a hassle wading through results, is your friend.

Hey Maggie, or anyone else that knows, is the kh/kj verada centre display a straight swap into a TJ?
Or does the wiring loom need to be changed.
Is the American spec Diamante display the same as the Verada? There's a couple of them on ebay at the moment.
Cheers.

Will plug straight in and the clock will work - but your fuel gauge will stop working.
You need to re-wire the plug to get your fuel gauge to work again.

Awesome, any chance there's one of these at the clearance house? If not, any idea what they go for when they do come up?
Also, how much rewiring is needed and do you happen to have a guide handy?
