I've got my hands on a set of Tl sideskirts and I'm thinking of adding them to the Verada.

Eventually going to possibly do something with the front and rear bars.

Let me know what you think

This is what the original door sills look like, obviously it would be too low to mount like this, and it would look a bit gey

It's a nice tight fit.... will need a little bit of modding but COULD work

Looks good. (If you can get them to fit nicely)
May suit a Diamante front bar too, with the extension bit at the bottom, if you like them (like TUFFTR's).

Yep, exactly what I'm thinking, when I find one

I also have a TL rear bar but that will require a bit more planning/work before I hack that apart to fit it

Hahahahah I don't think so!

I was thinking more chop my bar where the pinstripe is and have the whole lower half as a TL bar.... but I don't think the lines will work. That one needs alot more work

Looks good from the side but those bricks may cause issues on speed humps

The only place they look bad is the amount the poke out. Perhaps trim them back to fit tighter against the body so there is not so much sticking out when the doors are closed

Please do not pass on your weirdness.
Yeah TL VRX rear bar would be fail, would need a chop though...
I'm just going to use a GE rear flare kit for mine. (Does require extensive modifying)

But yeah sideskirts look mad!

Looks pretty sweet, maybe get Omar or someone to chop the chop the bricks out, to see what it will like a little better?

My only concern is your gonna have these massive side skirts and nothing else....It's gonna look odd from just about every other angle besides side on...

I like the look of it.

But like Madmagna said, it'd be great if you can get it as close to the body as possible.

And I also agree with Tuff, that having just the skirts will look out of place.

Either way, i took the courtesy of photochopping and removed the bricks, and colour coded the skirt.

Enjoy:

They shouldn't look too different, I should be able to get them pretty close to the body with a little bit of modding.

(They look like they stick out heaps where I had them sitting, but the finished product will be much closer to the car when I actually fit them).

Shouldn't actually be much lower on the side anyway, since they cover up the bottom of the car frame. They probably make the car 1-1.5 inches lower, so they shouldn't look too out of place I hope. I am trying to achieve a nice streamlined effect, not a 'kitted' look.

Thanks for the photoshop too mate, can't believe noone has tried this before!

Definately go for it mate doesnt look out of place as its a pretty subtle skirt, then add Diamante front and rear bar im not sure lol, but will look the goods for sure

Yeah if you can find a S1 bar that will tie in alot better, unfortunatly in magna's, Sigma's, Diamante's and V3000's, There were only two types of rear bar, Standard exec Rear bar and KR/KS rear bar...so not many options available there

Of course it'd look better with a Diamante front or custom front/rear bar, but the TS Magna shape somehow gets away with it - without looking too odd.
Take a look at my wagon to get an idea of what side skirts with stock bars look like.

Another suggestion, paint your seat plastics black. Will look much better. Use the right paint though, don't want it glossy lol

I have unsuccessfully painted car plastics before...... how would I combat peeling/flaking when the plastic moves????

I wouldn't mind getting it done though, just the sides of the seats look way out of place

I wouldn't paint them, same here, Used plastic paints, vynal paints, nothing will withstand constant rubbing. I wuld just get the black plastics from a car with a back interior.
if you usea plastic paint is has an additive in it which allows it to remain flexible, but stil if things are gonna come in conact, it will rub off.

Car's with painted dash's are the WORST

edit** Ahh see which bit you mean. top bit might get some constant contact so yeah, probably not the best idea

i think it looks good mate, only concern is, fitting them and how they look in person and close up.
you want it to look like it was fitted by the factory, otherwise it will look kinda ricey.
ive seen showcars, that have had all this custom work done, and look awsome, just to be let down, as soon as you walk up to the car, by the details in their finish,
but yeah, if you can succesfully make it fit, and not make it look out of place, then :bowrofl:
