View Full Version : clock in the dash
I've noticed in many other magna's that the clock in the dash is illuminated but even with my headlights, etc on - you can't see the time...
I presume that the only way to fix would be do get a whole new instrument panel thingy... if it is, then i'm not gonna worry about it just wanna know...
btw. all the illumination globes are working
i had the same problem. I was told that you have to pull out the cluster and pull it apart to get to the clock, somewhere in the clock theres this tiny globe called a rice globe or wheat or soemthing. Anyway you have to change that.
Ill do it... one day, I blew mine playing with me stereo
How hard is it to open and fiddle with the cluster? I would imagine there would be springs and other fun stuff from the speedo, etc that would fly out as soon as opening it. Has anyone done this before?

well taking the whole hole speedo unit out is easy, but it shouldnt be 2 hard to get to it. Ive only had to take the whole thing out 2 replace a globe but i think all u have to do is unscrew sum thing and then replace the light
Well i did it, i took apart the cluster and got to the clock module to replace the globe... It was easier than i expected. Would have taken pictures but i dont have a digital camera.
Thanks,
Bill
