hey i need help with the gearbox sensor that is near where the drivers side cv joint goes into the gearbox
it is just above the cv hole.
and the sensor has a little plastic wheel on the end of it that goes inside the box




now the plug for the sensor i need to know in what order does the 3 wires go in to the sensor as the end ripped of the plug.

there is a white and blue wire,black wire and a black wire with white.
any pics links or help with what order they plug into the gearbox would be great.

Checked the wifes May 03 TJ tippy. The black with white wire was closest to the firewall. The black wire was in the centre. The white with blue wire was closest to the engine block. Hope this helps. Cheers Peter

Looks like Magnadiver has saved the day!

I have been wading thru the Workshop Manual pdf's, but having a hell of a time jumping from auto-trans chapter to the circuit diagram chapter. Thanks goodness I can give it up now. All best with the repair!!

EDIT: Was thinking must have been speedo sensor, but with the three wires of those colours it seems it is "Pulse Generator A".
