I reckon I like them plates better :) the colour suits the car more, but I reckon black with gold writing or blue with gold (if you can get that??) would suit perfect!
and my car is for sale!!! although it's not a GT or Elante, it is an Elite, with Elante bits :)
you know you want it :P

Good luck finding them for a First Gen... :P
Plates definitely look better, suits the car a lot more than the Yellow/Greens. Very nice. :D

All youd need to do is put clear glass on the front of the headlight instead of the one sthat are on them at the moment...
i think...
would look a bit like an old square twin headlighted scorpion!
....someone wanna try?

Yep, it was sold on Friday. Unfortunately I don't think I will ever see it again. The buyer is in Alice springs, and after getting a Full mechanical inspection on it, they decided to buy it. I dropped it off at the Freighting company on Friday arvo and I'd imagine now it is on its way up there (or already there). I'll miss it :(
Got $1800 for it, which isn't too shabby for a first gen I s'pose. You reckon that was a good price Alex?

yea its a good price, i wanted it though!! but i couldnt afford to pay that much (not that its not worth it, just coz im stuck with what i have!)
but well done, pitty you couldnt just leave it sitting around after you put so much effort into it! intend to do it again one day or get a later model one, as everyone does! hehe, but its the smart thing to do!
what do you have left over? did the parts go with it?
Alex.

I contemplated keeping it but it would have to be left outside in the weather for a year. And even if that wasn't the case, it would still be sitting around for a while and things will start to perish without regular use, so I thought why not sell it and hope someone else can treat it as well as I did :) It took 5 days to sell it too, I was stoked at how much interest I had. Had 6 calls/emails about it in the 5 days, including one while we were on the way home from dropping it of for freighting haha :D
proof that you can sell an early Magna at a good price :D
So yes, as you say I will probably get a later model (ralliart... hmm depends how much I can save over the next year) and do that up a bit when I can afford it.
But that car was excellent to me, was such as good one, and it did bring a tear to my eye saying goodbye to it after so many hours off work put into it.
And yes I do have a lot of spare parts left if you'd be interested in buying some cheap?
I have a heap of hoses, couple of bellts, alternator, the middle reflector from the tail lights, AC Compressor, 4 full brake disc setups, a head... umm lots of things cant think of it all of the top of my head lol. most are all off of my old TP that I stripped, but there were no problems with any of it, and the head is off the elite, just replaced it with the recond one. It was perfectly fine :)
