ok i have a 2000 magna sportz with the drivers side mirror not working at all althought he passenger side does just need some advice on where or what to look for first

unscrew the mirror, and make sure the plug is plugged in and if it is unplug it and clean the contacts..

to get to the bolts, in the mirror, fold in the mirror half way, and look down, you will need a socket set, with an extension piece, with a 10mm socket from memory, with two bolts, either side.

if its still stuffed, after you cleaned the contacts, your mechanism might be gone!, i have a spare lying around if you do need it
cheers for the help pulled mirror off just b4 and found out that the plug was just not connected so plugged back in and that also fixed my central locking problem

really? central locking? i didnt think that would effect it
neither did i put it seems to
b4 all other doors would lock other then the driver door

it could have been a dodgy connection between another plug.. but from you plugging in the mirror it could have moved the other connection for the central locking inplace
true.true now the only thing left to do is paint interior re trim door cards and figure out the random wires in boot ow yeh and new clutch

After you check the connections use a silicone grease spray and hope for the best. Lube the motors if its off! why not..
