hello all, i have recently brought a ralliart magna
sabre black manual 60k kms completly stock atm, i am planning to do engine work and would like 200kw min at the wheels b4 i supercharge in couple of years give or take, currently looking at raptor pro street atm, but i would like to ask opinions of everyone when should i do engine wise i am considering dual 50mm throttle body from rpw with upgraded plennum? anyone know how they go yet??
anyone know if i should look at a new full exhaust system?? of is the ralliart stock perfect as i will get,
i have only been looking at rpw upgrade's atm have on brought CAI and short shifter yet to be installed.
been looking at a rpw Performance Modification Guide
http://www.rpw.com.au/shop/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=152&Itemid=51
any ideas or comments are welcome i would like lots of feed back b4 i start modifications
current dyno was at 133kw at wheels but clutch went on me week after strange i only had the car 3 weeks and i baby it cause it is my baby :D
am going to re dyno when i get the CAI in, see if any diff or af clutch slipping may have affected last run.
thank you all for all feed back good and bad.

Spend the money on supercharging it with forged internals. The standard intake and TB will flow 400HP easy with enough boost.
Save the money, spend it on pistons and rods. The ralliart heads and cams are already better then stock so supercharged she'll rock.
That's what I'd do anyway

Hey mate, she looks the goods need some pics up in the machines section though.
Sucks that your clutch went and strange for it to happen so quickly if it seemed ok when you bought it.
Need to do something about your tail lights aswell, should be able to buff them and night shade them proply or blacked out ones like mine would look sick.
You'll have to take us for a run sometime, should get me keen for that manual conversion :facejump:

Here's some friendly tips.
Send back the useless RPW CAI and the short shifter and get your money back. That's the first step.
Second step, do what TUFFTR said and gather a bunch of money for forged pistons and rods plus a supercharger kit. Anything else if wanting 200kwatw is going to be a waste of money, trust me.

if all else fails, talk to bullet superchargers in qld, they got qmd///801's ralliart running 215kw @ the front wheels from his manual ralliart.

what about this street fighter i been hearing about anybody think i should go with one soon??
what about new exhaust system over ralliart one would it be better?
and any ideas bout cost to forge internals what would i be looking at aprox thanx

Gremlin,
Ha - so this was yours lol
I knew you had a black Ralliart before the red one but just didn't know the Build Number. lol
Yz666,
Your lucky mate, not many of us can 'talk' to the first owner.
(not lucky about the clutch though :doubt:)
Oh, and welcome to the Black Ralliart club.

Bit hard to say as the mods were incorportaed into the repair costs (front end damage) when I bought the car so didn't get it itemised.
To get the car to 200kwatw you'll need decent hi-comp pistons, ecu, cams, exhaust, and various other bits and pieces.
All of which may well need to be replaced (especially hi-comp pistons)....
Either you do it once properly, or do it twice for twice the cost.

hmmm more modded ralliarts thats the way!!
you need to set a goal for what power you want to achieve and how you wanna go about it. if you wanna supercharge then start by building the engine, I'm using CP forged pistons, on my build which is currently underway.... most have gone SPS, I wanted to be different and CP have a great reputation.. so you have 2 choices when it comes to charging... then there is compression, you gotta work out how much boost u wanna run.. if you wanting crazy go low comp.. but remember if u don't go min 14psi then low comp not really going to be any good in my opinion.. I'm keeping standard ralliart compression, although with the build I expect to loose a little of this.
look at getting good engine management from the start.. that will accomodate all your plans/dreams, this way anything is possible without the need for redoing whats already done..
before doing all this I would really be looking at upgrading the suspension, then later on the brakes.. the brakes are good but if your looking at well over 200kw atw then I would be upgrading before or shortly after depending on your driving habits...
I'm currently in the middle of rebuilding my engine after doing a lil damage at the drags... its long, and painfull.. I miss drivin my car. but that will just make it ohh soo much better when i get it back.
I simply bolted on the Rotrex supercharger supplied by bulletcars. at yatala in qld, they are also taking care of my rebuild.. if you get serious they are def worth calling. although the Raptor kit looks very promising.
As for the dual throttle bodies, I think you would be better off spending your money else where, from what I understand the stock throttle body is good for approx 300kw atw.. good luck reaching that figure... I would be spending that money on decent ecu/suspension whatever..
I guess the real advice I have is do everything with the end goal in mind.. Do I need to spend this $$ on a CAI thats I'm gonna chuck out once I supercharge???
and don't skimp, save up be patient and do it properly the first time.. 200kw atw is faily easily achievable with the ralliart motor...
best of luck. let me know if there is anything you need.

Agreed!. Put the money into something more worth it!
