Quick question - what sort of material are the seats in an Ei Verada (KE - KJ) made out of?

what are the differences between Ei and Xi apart from full leather interior

Apart from Leather:

Sunroof
Woodgrain Trimming
Electric Fuel/Boot release on Door trim
Fabric trimming on A,B&C Pillars

Only differences I can tell.

KJ series - off the top of my head:

Lower console (around gear selector)
- ei = black with cupholders.
- xi = woodgrain with lidded cupholders and lidded coin tray (with power socket in coin tray).

xi - had remote audio controls on steering wheel. (ei = nil).

xi - got the lining on the boot lid. (ei = nil).

xi - electric fuel flap release on drivers door (the panel housing the map pocket). (ei = manual trigger on floor).

That's about all I can think of - I have a KJ series I ei, and just dream about the Xi stuff!!

higher than Xi would be GTVi? which only available for KJ/KL/KW?

The Xi was still the top-of-the-line model.

The GTV/GTVi was an Ei with a higher flowing exhaust and black leather trim. (And different gear knob and steering wheel in some models)

Wasn't it optional on the KE and KF, then became standard on Xi's from KH onwards?

My impression was that Xi = Luxo-Barge, while GTVi was later models and more lux-Sports in focus. GTVi had the noice black leather, some had the SatNav option, some had the Nardi Torino wooden wheel and shifter knob (also options).

Development of GTVi fed by luxe brands such as BMW/Merc/Lexus recognising or creating a "fashion" for upscale/sporty, rather than the earlier focus of "luxury" being like "rolling bordello". Could argue that GTVi was a more austere "look", less "retired folks in cardigans".

xi has auto dimming interior mirror and exterior drivers mirror, electric drivers seat (some have elec passenger seat too). Not sure about ei with the mirror

KJ Ei has the photochromatic interior and drivers door mirrors.

Forgot about the power seat, tho I thought none of the Aussie Rada's got a passenger powered seat?

Early model KE (an maybe KF) had Xi with door "puddle lights" but these were deleted from all Aussie models by TJ, is what I gather.

My KJ Series II Verada has Full Leather , Sunroof, 10 speaker Premium sound system with 4cd Stacker, drivers and passenger electric seats, audio controls on steering wheel . leather wheel , chrome handles and chrome trim around gear lever, wood grain trim, chromatic rearview mirror and drivers mirror , boot lining, Nardi wood gear lever. Fuel filler button and boot button are located on drivers door map, pocket (don't have to bend as far).....

Mine must have been a friday car, i missed out on the passenger elec seat, but i got the Nardi woodgrain gear lever. I also missed out on rear cupholders in the fold down seat. is anyone else missing these in their rada?

i did not get the back cup holder in the centre rear fold down seat and i missied the passenger elec seat too
