276 mm disks. are these suitable for a twin pot caliper.

I have a stock v6 ts,exe wagon

i know the threads and all the other info...etc

Would like to know if the twin piston caliper fits on this size disk.

the one im after isoff a kr or ks verada! with abs.

There abs so i'll change the threads and hose etc...

im at a loss but im sure they will fit... help.

KR KS Verada with ABS are 276mm dia rotors. Twin piston calipers were only fitted to ABS models AFAIK. All 15" wheel models should have 276mm rotors. Not sure if you need the rotors off an ABS model to do the conversion or just the calipers and pads. Luckily I have both but maybe Mal (Madmagna) can give a definate. Will be doing this conversion in the next few weeks on my TS. Good luck lemme know how you go.

Rears require new hoses as well but other than that they fit up much the same. No need to change the handbrake either so Im told.Ventilated all round FTW. I started out much the same as you and veradafied my exec the brake conversion will pretty much finish it off.

If you have a factory V6, then the twin piston factory ABS calipers WILL bolt directly onto the knuckle, and be able to use the factory fitted 276mm rotor.

The sticking point between the two brake systems is the flex line unions; the single piston system has a 'mushroom' or single flare fitting on the hardline from the master cylinder and a corresponding seat on the flex line, whereas the ABS equipped cars had a double flare on the hardline union and flex line. The fittings are able to be screwed together, but it's not a good practise to do so as the fittings are technically incompatible, and can be troublesome.

ok guys and gals..

My v6 ts wagon has 276mm dics's so im happy the new calipers will fit.... by the way the discs are dba wiper slot with Bendix ultimate at the front.

Will get around to fitting the twin piston calipers soon. and then will have a pair of rebuilt single pot calipers and pads for sale to suit 276mm disc.Done about 1000k's

Looking at the rear being a wagon i got the calipers of a ks to suit vented discs. i have solid but will upgrade.

I know about the lines etc...etc..(abs said 45 bucks a hose).... but had a look around and can only buy std dba dics and pads for my model.

the newer KL 4wd model has a listing for wiper slot disks on the rear!(i have on the front wiper slots). So here is my problem. The dba website says the hat height is about 5.3 mil smaller but all other measurements are the same. this is a wagon remember...they have larger rear disc's.

Can i space the calipers to suit? And will there be enough meat for the hand brake? im yet to pull off my rear wheel for a measure but you guys are good so some advice would be nice.

Also what pads will fit a ks vented rear caliper.....above std. or is std ok in the back.

thanks heaps

the car is used for fast general transport no track.....but i like good brakes.. and no i dont speed lol...live in mt dandy Victoria so brakes need to be good. would like a track day ,one day so im doing it now...etc.
