I have 17's on the car atm and i was looking through my boot for my boot install and twigged, hang on that massive round thing with rubber on it is only 15 inches, if i have a blown out tire i cant use it.
Am i right or would you be able to hobble home with one 15 and 3 17's? or just RACV callout and get a 17. Cause i cant fit a 17 in the spare wheel well thats for sure.
cheers fellas
It's fine to go home on the 15, just replace ASAP!

Why cant you fit a 17" in the spare wheel well? Ralliarts did, and Im assuming (could be wrong) that S2 VRX and GTVs did too.

It got very little to do with the rim size!
its the overall diameter. If its a bit smaller that's fine for short trips in an emergency.
the car will handle different so take that into account when driving on it.

As if waste time buying an aftermarket 17" spare wheel, if the overall rolling diameter is off then you just make sure it only goes on the rear of the car, but 15" is definetly fine.

plus a 17 is going to weigh your car down more than a 15" steelie
