The front flares are obviously different to the rear flares, make sure you have them the right way around, as the rear doors shouldn't be blocked at all, its pretty clear where the flares fit.
Mounting them is pretty simple:
There should be some black rubber string like stuff that comes with the flares, run this along the edge of the flare, to stop it rubbing against your paint.
Put some double sided tape on the inside of the flare (the part that will butt with your actual car).
Inside the flare there should be 2 or 3 tabs, these might need hollowing out, this is where you screw the flare to the inside of the wheel arch, some small self taping screws will be fine for just going through the black wheel arch stuff (on the inside).
????
Profit!

Assuming they're attached the same way as VRX flares they aren't bolted or glues on. Firstly there is a rubber lip that goes around the outside edge of them that pushes up against the body. They are then attached by a series of black metal clips that push into the holes along the inside of the flare while grabbing onto the body. However, if you have no genuine flares, those holes are most likely filled (the indentations you can see). Last time I checked these fitting kits are fairly expensive from Mitsu (around $40 per flare from memory) so you may want to find your own way of attaching them.
Can post up pics and diagrams when I get home for you if you want.

if they are aftermarket, then we'll need to see some pics of what the issue is

I've only ever used genuine front and rear flares and all it takes is 2-3 metal clips around each flare and a screw at the bottom (from memory). Unsure about aftermarket flares but i presume the genuine mitsu fitting kit will work with the aftermarket flares.

hm, looks like you might have to use double sided tape as it does not bolt on to the same areas as the stock kit would, using those bolt clips.

Stick them on with Sikaflex, quick and easy much stronger than double sided tape.

should still use double sided tape (2mm thick is ideal), even if you going to use Sikaflex (Sikaflex 252 is the best choice - coventry fasteners, motor traders etc) to provide some form of grab until the Sikaflex partially cures. Also gives the thickness required for Sikaflex to achieve maximum adhesion/ strength.
