View Full Version : Installing Power Window Regs

Hey guys..

ive been reading the mitsu workshop manual, and it seems really difficult to do. as it says that i have to remove all the seals blah blah..

so guys! how should i do this? does anyone have pics?

also anyone here in SA willing to help me this weekend? (as long as i recieve the parts by friday haha)

and do i also have to remove the window? or can i just get someone to hold it while i chuck the new reg in?

I think you might be able to tape the window to the door frame to keep it up... (Just saw a pic on some other forum..)

Edit: LOL Just realised..... magna's dont have door frames ahaha! duh!

You will see a lump in the rear door where the motor for the rear regs go. The motor goes in horizontal

The rear windows will need to be lowered to remove the reg off the glass, the fronts need to be up for the same thing

There will be a bit of fiddling around with the other guides etc, is not too hard to do.

as it says in the manual that i need to remove alot of the stuff in the door

ill be doing this on the weeken i have a big ball of wires, switches and reglators for the conversion

So how long do you think it will take to replace a reg in a door? I only have sat and tuesday off each week, and dont really want to have to take all my audio out of my car coz I have to go to uni/work with no window...
Surely it couldnt take more than a few hours?

if its just one reg even if you dont know what your doing id only imagine it taking a few hours max

ive done the whole conversion

and it only took me about 6 hours... so yeah..i was really happy haha nd it is WAY easier than it sounds

hehe wow you should not have told me that! Prepare to be bonbarded by questions by friend! lolz I shall be attempting mine in around 2 weeks I think (Still have to get some regs argg)! :D
Do you have any tips as to how to get the regs in?
