Does anyone know what TRACE CONTROL is and which vehicles have it (TJ?, Sports, VRX, Verada/380?)

im pretty sure none of the australian delivered models have it. youve been looking at your instrument cluster's spare lights havent you?
i think its like a braking function for the rear brakes. i know on a moto to keep you steady through corners you can trail the rear brakes a bit. might be something like that.

Just ran some Google searches under 'trace control' and 'trace controller' and couldn't find anything close, at least not for motor vehicles.
You don't really mean traction control do you?
If so, it's standard on many 380s and late model third gen Magnas and optional on many/most other 380s and third gens.

All 3rg gens with traction control have trace control as well.
U find it works when you go into corners to hard. It prevents understeering by cutting power.
It is similar to traction control but you dont have to be spinnning the wheels for it to work. It senses tyre slip/not tyre spin i.e., understeering where the tyre is slipping and not spinning.
Works fairly well. Stops understeering. Can be a pain sometimes if you want to drive hard but what traction/trace system isn't a pain when in a sporty mood.

My Verada had it, did a good job of killing understeer if you were being silly, bit of a pain though if you hit the gas a little hard when setting off and it kicks in, the car just dies for a second or two before the TC releases control of the engine.
All Veradas from the KH on had it standard, as did auto VR-Xs. Pretty sure auto Sports from TJ-onwards got it too. No manuals did.

yeah mates TH sports auto has got it, as magnas have a throttle cable, it cuts power by retarding ignition timing, thefour reducing power
My tj sports has it.Having a stab in the dark here ,is it common to the models that have the 5spd tippy?
I know the auto ralliarts and sports, vrx,s have it.

Yer i got it. Its like a crude stability control system that cuts power when steering angle combined with revs and throttle position exceed a pre-programmed amount and it is combined with the traction control system.
