I was loosing so much interest in my magna as my heater core was cracked and was always heating up!
But today got the badboy fixed up and serviced and drives like an absolute dream again! 1118 dollars later though...but oh well im happy she is going strong.
Now what i really wanted to ask was is that a decent price for a 120k service + Heater core change? Also, would they have filled up my radiator fluid and flushed the system etc because i had to put water in it previously?
Will having the spice lids where the resonators are, will that void anything, im thinking about putting the stocko resonators back on - it was just something i did when i was bored.
On a side note - how much will it cost to install some front 6" speakers into my front doors?

Mozza, did they give you an itemised account?
Just curious as to how much they charged you for the heater core replacement.

for the speakers it depends on how much the speakers are and if you do it yourself wich is pretty simple

I have the speakers....and i have no idea what im doing when it comes to installing speakers.
Also yeah i did get an itemised account - i got the servicing done at Southland Mitsu. I believe the heater core itself was around 160? the labour was around 600.....and i think parts were 418 i believe.
Btw i saw your car at uni today :P park on level 4?

Speakers are the easiest thing to do. Although you'll probably need some spacers to attach the 6" speakers too, as the plastic pods behind the door trim are designed for 170mm speakers.

Warranty of any kind....or are all engine bits not part of warranty? Im clueless about this shizzle.

You buy spacers, but you dont need them anyway your speakers will screw straight in

Screw behind door handle, screw inside where you grab to shut the door, then pull hard as the rest is clipped then lift.
Cut off a short section of the speaker cable that came with the speakers with the terminals intact, then cut the connector off the car and solder the two together

What is the heater core? I am novice at cars and was curious.
Also i couldn't help but have an immature giggle at the thread name.
Also i know the loosing interest thing...its great once the cars fixed again isnt it

Resonators dampen air, You wont void a thing unless that stealership is a bunch of pricks.

holy carp
my heater core HAD a leaking washer but i dissocnected it about 18 months ago
will the core be stuffed sinces its dried out
or can i get it fixed up
to replace the heater core you have to remove the entire dash which is why labour is so expensive
What is the heater core?
the part in the car that is the heater basicly takes hot water from the engine and runs it through a radiator to keep you warm in the car
Spice lids where the resonators are.
good move there! shawn at phillcom said it was the best thing hes seen.
i had to take the bottom on off due to lpg conversion and i took the top one off when i put in the strut brace
they just make the intake a bit quieter but cause a lot of turbulance. better off without them

Don't forget the screw that is in the bit at the front that joins the dash on the front doors
