I made a big 'boo-boo'. I removed the black brace that goes between front passenger door and the body and now when i try to put the bolt back into the body it keeps stripping the thread on the bolts.

What can i do to repair the thread or get the bolt back in?

I removed it so i could get the door grommet out easier.

Is the bolt going in on an angle?

If you've stuffed the thread on the body, then you will need someone to use a tap/die set to make a new thread one size bigger.

3 words mate, thread repair kit. no need to tap and resize. you can get a whole unit that you just drill to the appropriate size, then thread the bolt and insert in together. Once it has seated, back off the lock nut, and remove the supplied bolt. you will be able to use your original bolt.

Recoils are good things, should have thought of that aswell.....
