just wondering, did any of the 3rd gens come out with black carpet? I mean proper black not charcoal or anything. I've tried to find some but all came up grey etc...

Not at all TJ's though mate, i know my 01 VRX does. I dont think any of the Exec's or Advance models came out with black carpet in the TJ range anyway, not even all TJ AWD's came out with it. Pretty sure all VRX's did not sure on sports, from what i know its very hard to get hold of

yeah nah thats what i meant, like, it doesnt look like any advances/solaras or anything came with proper black carpet, just gray...i'll be on the lookout though. are there any other models that came out with black carpet does anyone else know?

Black carpet = more Killer-Wasps, as anyone with a "seat of the pants" Dyno can attest.
In fact, teenagers and those on P-plates shouldn't be permitted to drive cars with black carpet (or mag wheels, or spoilers) as a governemnt measure to discourage hoon driving and reduce the road toll.

OK OK, I'm just taking the piss. No disrespect to OP. My TJ Sports (series 2 maybe?) has black carpet...... I wouldn't mind getting a fresher (or new!) set of carpet, but it seems its both very popular and uncommon as well. I got a set of grey and a set of beige at Mitsi Clearance, would dearly have loved Black but none to be had at the time.

TF Sports also. At least thats where I think my black carpet came from...

My GTVi has black carpet. But who knows if other GTVi's have black carpet mine has too many different things.

You can buy black and grey car carpet at bunnings. i think its around $20-30 a meter but its about 2-3 meters wide.

There's a TH sports going at a slavage auction if you're feeling energetic, it's a stat writeoff so will only fetch a couple hundred if that. Black and manual.

While these guys make great carpet sets, the carpet they make does not have the plastic bits along the sides and you will find it hell to keep it in place

I was actually wondering as im considering replacing my carpet soon, would taking those plastic bits off and re-stapling onto the new carpet work? Or can you buy those plastic doobies somewhere?

I used one on my old laser to hold the carpet on where the staple had broken through that normally held the plastic clip on. It was removable and re-installable too, just get the short (10mm?) wide headed ones

Same with my TW VR-X... I think it is all to do with interior spec, if you have the dark (black) dash, then i think the they had the black carpet too. Correct me if im wrong though

Also is two piece which looks a bit crap...I bought from these guys and ended up replacing it with stock
