Hi all,

I recently bought a KW Verada with 130k on it and it's been serviced by the prev owner at the Mitsu dealer. My question is, if I take the car to Mitsu will they be able to tell me if the timing belt has been actually replaced (by looking at their internal records etc). BTW the logbook has been stamped. I just want to be on the safe side.

Cheers

I'm sure if your taking it back to the same place it has been serviced at, they would have the history on the car. Maybe call them to see.

all mitsu dealers should be able to tell you if it was done at a mitsu dealer.

Don't they usually stamp the service manual as well? Even though it might be out of factory warranty?

They did that to mine recently when I had my timing belt done.

My last magna was a second gen serviced at Southland Mitsy m/vale. When I asked them about the service history of the vehicle when I first bought it they were quite happy to tell me its history.

Thanks guys, the dealer was Frankston Mitsubishi (far from where I live) and they have stamped the page but haven't specifically ticked/mentioned the items that were replaced. I was hoping to go to the Mitsi dealer in Burnley (VIC) and see if they could tell me it was done.

Cheers

Call the service department of the dealer it was serviced at when the timing belt is marked as being done. I did the same thing when I bought my TL - they were able to call up the service history of the car via the rego number.
