hey all.

i have a te 3.0L and i have a funny feeling my clutch is going.

it starts taking up at about 30% - 50% of the way (normal), but at full throttle, it only needs to be pushed 3cm (if that, maybe only 1cm) and it slips. is it my plate, springs, hydrolics??? just so i know what i am looking at price wise. (or is this normal?)

thanks

How many K's has it done? sounds like the clutch disc is getting thin though.

Cheers Dave

sounds like the clutch may be gone, and you will need a new one, dont think it would be your hydrolics
there is clutch adjustment for moving the friction point height, but if its still getting the pick up at half way, i would be inclined to think that its the clutch, as its not holding the power and slipping.

Sounds like my clutch before it started slipping whilst moving (without pushing the clutch pedal). New clutch, all fixed.
