T.B.H ,they are crap....you really wouldn't know they were on from the drivers seat, but they do look good, when it was "foggy"the other day ,i was able to travel in my ute, with my wife driving the magna and they did look good...its more for looks than anything else..it matches up well with the led in the parkers ...and as you cant technically use them, so it didnt really matter what the light output is..

Well, you need to be converted to the magical world of LED's!

If it is tastefully done it looks good. Counted mine and didn't know I had so many.

I have blue led strips under the front floor flood area, and white leds in the glove box, overhead console, and vanity mirrors and rear C pillar sections. Also have several blue leds in the boot. Red leds on the rear number plates (car is red). The blue leds are hidden so it creates a nice fog/haze effect when reflecting off the grey carpet.

Has anyone tried LED replacement brake lights? Especially the V-LEDS 7W ones? I've done some searches and on the Ford forums, some have experience problems with cruise control/abs and traction control after fitting LED brake lights. They say the reason is that the CC/ABS/TC work on current draw and if there is inadequate current draw from the brake lights, they wont work. Doesn't this mean that if one or both or your standard brake lights are blown, CC/ABS/TC won't work as well?

So does this mean when im driving without braking, the TC doesn't work? The bulbs do not draw any current if you do not break. Hence why they are off.... So going from what was said.. it means the TC doesn't work unless you break? hehehehe

I know the fords have a body computer, so that may have some sort of effect. My wife's astra has what they call CANBUS, and putting in any LED lights will confuse the computer and tell you the lights are blown as they don't draw enough current. Ford's body computer may cough up some other errors without the right current draw from various parts. Pity about the blown lights though, doesn't make sense???

Vlad, I'm using LED brake/Tail lights in the TR But they are 2~ ish years old now. I Didn't notice any difference in light output at all. The new SMD one's would probably be brighter though..

All red:

T10s in trip comp display
T5s in aircon, ash try, cigi lighter
neons under dash
(VRX has red gauge lights already)

Still to come: Boot / undercar / interior roof light / door courtesy lights. All red also.

1. Matrix SMT LEDs in dome light.
2. M-SMT 7W VLEDs for brake/park lights. Very bright and wider dispersion then standard SMT LEDs. The house across the street is lit up when I put the brake on in the garage (thats 20+ metres away).

Plan to fit LEDs into c pilar, boot, glovebox, vanity mirrors and footwell lights. GTVi, what LEDs did you use for yours?

Last I read, these LED H3s are meant to be used in DRL light housings. They are meant to be used as a to be seen rather than to see lighting.
