I need to colour some clear lenses Amber, I used to use a Humbrol model clear orange years ago but apparently it is no longer avail.
It used to fade out after about 6 - 12 months as well
Does anyone know of a good clear base paint that can be used inside a clear lens to get it amber again. Remember that light still needs to be able to shine through

Im pretty sure you can get the amber dye for the light bulbs still so you might have a really good chance of using that if its still available but if not,get some bascoat mixed from a smash repair or auto paint shop that is transparent like the 2nd layer of when you do candy apple jobs.

Dont want orange globes as the lens needs to be orange externally as well
Will try Tamiya but if anyone else has an idea will be grateful
Have tried tinted clear coat in the past and by the time you get the colour you can not get light through it
