Well this is sort of off topic but its still to do with a stereo has any 1 else done something similar to what i have done??

i have installed my car stereo in my bedroom :D it pumps but it wont be in there for long till it goes into my car.

I do actually take good care of my CD's even tho it may not seem like it in the photos

haha thats sweet as dude, i just got new 6x9's and 6" splits and im thinking of housing the old ones in a box and using them insted of my ****ty sterio speakers that ive got wired up to my amp then to my pc.

how are you running it from the power socket in the wall? and do you need a ground at all?
i currently don't have a license so i think it'd be awesome if i could start building up my car stereo while i wait to get it back.
any details/info/help would be great!

i have a power converter in the head unit box to convert from 12volt to 240volt and yea there is a ground running to the amp what would you like to know and i shall tell.

how to set it up, costs and what items i need! hahahaha, looks pretty cool tbh :D

Well it depends to be honest lol the amp cost me $88, Head unit Free from a mate, Speakers came out of my old car and the sub was $130 box was $60 plus the power converter was free from a mate

You will need for the head unit to run obviously you'll need a

Head unit + Wiring loom
Power Converter 12V to 240V
something to mount the stereo in
some speaker plugs

When i first built it i had the sub and head unit in the same box head unit was above the sub but CD's skipped to much so i suggest not to do that.

If you wait till the weekend i might have a diagram up of the wiring etc :)
