View Full Version : Indicator Stalk CutOff

Does anybody else have this problem?
When indicating for a turn (ie pushing the indicator stalk up or down for left or right turn), sometimes after the turn has been completed (and car has straightened up again and indicator stalk cancels) the cut off is strong enough to send the stalk lightly touching the other side momentarily - so for a split second both indicator arrows (on the console) light up. The opposing indicator is not engaged, its only just tapped (like when you used to lightly indicate once or twice for a quick lane change).
This doesn't happen a lot, just sometimes. I can't be bothered getting it fixed because it doesn't really bother me... but just curious if anyone else experiences that too or if its just me.

Nothing like it on mine, and it's one of the earliest 380s (built July 05, first reg Dec 05).

Then again it's only done 35,500 km, so maybe the indicators haven't reached their 'use by' mileage yet!

Will have to raise this with the Dealer. Will report back.

Interesting...
At least I'm not the only one.
If many of us are experiencing it, chances are the dealers are aware of it too.
As for warranty, I'm sure it would be fixed OK if you mention it to them.
kj380 mentioned mileage, and it occurred to me that this has not been going on since I got the car (ex demo, near new), and only in the last year or so. Perhaps it is an age thing of the stalk. But until the actual stalk snaps clean off, or something, I'm not going to follow it up.
