Hey Guys,

I got some TH tail lights off eBay last week and they have arrived without looms and bulbs. I have gotten looms and bulbs from the wreckers but they had to come of a TE (NO TH lights/looms what-so-ever). The only problem is that the reverse bulb wont fit through hole, the plug looks like it matches but the bulb itself simply won't fit through.

So my question is: Has anyone replaced a reverse globe and can tell me if it has a special name/size? I want something that is as bright as possible and unfortunatly I can't walk in with the old one and say "Same again please."

Thanks,

Kieran

How's about a trip to Supa-Rice-Auto, or Rice-o-Bran, and have a look in the lamp catalogue - see what is listed for a TE and what is listed for a TH, then look at those bulbs on the display rack.

Some shops also have a big "blotter" type mat on the counter, made by Philips lighting - with all the different standard bulb "bases" (the metal bit that connects with the electrical loom), and you can see what sizes of glass globe are manufactured in each "base".

There may even be a similar catalog thing online on the websites of Philips, Osram, etc - just find an Aussie site so you can try listings for TE vs TH magna.

That is some rather good ninja work there Elwyn :ninja: Thanks.

I was having a chat with Lucifer a short while after posting this and he told me the same thing. I'l pop down to Super Cheap during the week and maybe post up a few comparisons of brands and pricing.
