Hey Guys,

I've recently fitted 1 piece parras on my TJ, everything works fine, low-beam, high beam, parkers.

Only problem is that when the low beam is on the blue high-beam indicator on the dash lights up. It also lights up on high-beam as well. Its off when the lights are off or just the parkers on.

Its not something that really bothers me, but i'm not sure if in the long run its gonna cause problems. Will it ??

Thanks
Arfann

check that your low beam gets power from the low beam relay and is directly earthed to the chassis
and the high beam gets its power from the high beam relay

Sounds like a poor earth on the bulbs somewhere, give em a clean.

yeah but you cant have a backfeed from low to high if it aint connected thru the globe
std headlights have a h4 globe with high and low that changes over thru the dip switch
para's have a h7(?) for low beam and that is directly earthed to the chassis so it is on with the highbeam which is still switched by the dip switch

It's a back feed. I had the same problem when I installed mine. You need to snip the red wire from the loom and have the red wire from the back of the H7 globe earthed to the chassis. The first time I connected them up I never cut the red wire and had the light in series to the earth and the high beams would never go off.
