In addition to the issue of the reverse lights coming on with brake lights which I've never resolved, I now have a headlight chime that fails to alert me to the fact I've left the headlights on. Which was brought to my attention by a flat battery after work.

Anyone got a suggestion for this? If I wanted stupid random electrical faults, I would've bought a Peugeot 406...

my car was without the headlight warning sound, untill i fitted a new head deck and some how it came back. i cant think why, the only diff was i used the dimmer wire.

It didn't work when I got the car in May last year. Then it started working some time later, after I had fitted a new headunit, and didn't bother to connect the dimmer wire. It worked up until a few weeks ago.

does the rest of the interior lights come on (courtesy light, roof light)? I had an issue with leaving the headlight on and no warning sound, turned out to be a sticky door switch.
