Hi All
finally finished my wagon rear, well for now anyway.
I have my spare removed, and have a 90 amp dry cell and 12 inch punch woofer, 1 farred capacitor with fuses etc all in the tire well.
As far as the install goes i first removed the std plastic tire cover and filled all gaps around the side ply with foam to help insulate the well area. Then Cut MDF to size and cut out lift out panels for access to the battery and compressor, tire glue, another for Jack access and finally a cover for the woofer so i can use the wagon to full potential. The woofer works great and still works ok with the lid in place but does need to be turned up a bit.
I have L bracket metal strips to reinforce the strength of the timber and also to hold the removable inserts.
I used two std rear carpets to do the trim. one for the main flooring and the other for the pull outs. i had them and no extra cash so that's how i rolled.
On the side i have 6inch keenwood 3 way speakers powered off the head unit. They are mounted in angled pods as the left of the wagon has the fuel filler in the way.I cut the soft non structural metal under them to induce more air flow.
I did this as the car came with non std 6x9's closer to the rear but the plastic and steal was modded so i was'nt happy with the mounting points, i also may place some amp'ed splits for extra volume to show off at a later date.
As i have installed the verda side velour trim it would be impossible to change the rear globes with the speakers installed firmly to the car so i made a cut out and modded the std velour to trim up nice. i then used the std covers for this hole from the base model and they are held in place with color coded push in tabs.I can now change globs easily if needed.
I have just got a space saver for emergency's and will bolt to the floor soon.I will also get a custom cover for it.
Its not bolted yet so i leave it out.
The sub amp is under the front seat.
My whole system is powered from the rear battery which is charged from the car.

EDIT:
If more detailed photos are needed pm me and i can offer them with many more suggestions on how to improve this set up.
As for the set up i wanted a system that would not take up room or be in your face. There are better ways for sound improvement but for what i need its a great compromise and still sounds great as i have a front stage. The woofer sounds great even better than in the box as the base travels through the car better. The rear tie down points/bolt holes are used to bolt in the MDF with larger bolts, but i can still use the tie downs if needed.
I will use these threads to hold the space saver as well with a custom bracket.
I would have kept the floor flat at the front but then the cargo barrier would be a pain to install and also the floor would need to be done in sections so it would go in.As it is the front drop lip is great as it holds smaller items or my tool box with out sliding all over the place.
