I recently installed a new head unit into my magna and ever since the electric antenna wont work. it apears to be wired right but I just need confirmation. Is the single blue wire that has its own plug the auto antenna wire for the magna? if not which is it? if it is, anyone got any idea why it wont work?

there should be individual blue wires from your HU for controlling the Antenna up and down. Otherwise, check the HU installation instructions.

Yeah, theres a blue wire comming from the head unit for the antenna which hooks up to the blue wire from the car yes? I've done this.. but no luck. Head unit is all hooked up right and works perfectly.. just no electric antenna :-(

I thought the antenna wire was pink and not blue from the car.

If it is the standard HU - it isn't the single blue wire - It is PINK iirc, I will have a look at the loom (it is sitting on my desk at home) that came with the electric antenna retrofit kit from Mitsu.

cheers, that'll be where I've gone wrong.. whats the single blue one then? :-) only ever fitted one other stereo and it was blue in that. saw the blue one on its own and just assumed it was the one :-)

will take a look at it tommorrow see if I can find a pink wire :-)

The blue wire is the switched 12v wire.

The light blue wire in the factory loom on it's own plug, is for the steering wheel stereo controls.

ahh, great that explains a lot. what would I do without this site :-P
Last time I download a wiring diagram off the net before askin you guys for one :-)
