Hello all, I am having a problem with the missus TR-4cyl. Whilst driving the battery light will come on, power will be lost and lights will dim.

However, the battery is fine, as is the alternator.

Has anyone has a similar problem and what could it be? Old Battery Leads? Needs new Battery Terminals, I am absoulutley stumped, and dont wanna take in into an auto elec if it can be an easy fix?

check where the earth cable connects to the block.

You sure the battery and alternator are fine man? who tested them?
As above, check all connections, wiggle wires to see what's loose etc

Had this recently happen to me,replaced voltage regulator on alternator fixed problem, if battery light come on and off intermittent while driving, more than likely this is the problem .

you might as well do the filter and oil while at it since you will need to pull the oil filter off while changing it.. but sounds like the volt regulator

and dont leave it too long unless you have something you need to revenge.. otherwise she might get stranded in the middle of nowhere
