hey guys need an answer reguarding where the trans computer is on a 2000 diamante. Since we lost diamanteowners.com over here in the U.S. you guys are my only hope. I found the ecm under the center console but is the transmission computer (tcu) inside the engine management computer? My car is down and out due to the car being in "Safe" transmission mode and i need it back asap. Its my only transportation!!!! I am pulling 3 codes from the transmission for 2 different solenoids and i know the us diamante is notorious for the trans computer getting wet/failing from the heater core issues. that i have of course :-( and the mitsubishi "plastic baggy" didnt help

The trans ecu is located within the engine ECU under the heater box

All the best, if you are getting fault codes I would say the TCU is fine and the issue may be in the trans itself

Perhaps time to get all the manual parts imported from over here and dive yourself a nice relaiable Manual lol

Gotta say it after my experiences just had, have you checked all your fuses?
