Honestly it is generally cheaper and a lot less hassle to replace them these days.

I'm sure someone could give it a crack thou.

I could have a look, but by the time you pay for postage etc it could be a waste of money...
If you can find someone local then good, but for the cost of a Response amp you would probably be better getting a new one.

Some of the MOSFETS in those things are $20 each so it can get expensive!

Is it just the RCA ports? Pics and you description please, might be able to just solder on new ones at the next meet.

all i can say if its not a high end audio brand dont bother fixing it. its easy to swap out blown parts for new ones but can get very pricey when you need say 5 parts at $20 each.

i wouldnt enter a comp with sony gear and this isnt an explode amp. its purple in colour. its switch able from 1-2om and 2-4om. i ran two 12in subs the same as what lugo is selling and it ran them really well. the only problem i had with it was the one it has now, so i just brought a new amp.
but for a daily driver i cant say there was anything wrong with this amp i dont know about any other sony gear as never used it.

Look at the Name of Sony : XPLOD.. This is what happens to it when you introduce any Volume...
(Mind you I do have an XPLOD headunit and it is doing alright)
