Just got back from a drive in the VRX and i noticed i was getting a warning light on the dash.

The 'TCL OFF' light was flashing and the 'ENGINE' light was coming on with braking, hoping someone can shed some light on what this might point to.

I have actually had the flashing TCL light before which happened directly after fitting one of Ezyboys high flow throttle bodys, after checking everything and finding no error in installation an ECU reset seemed do away with the flashing light.

But now its back and with the bonus 'ENGINE' light to add to the worry, the engine light comes on directly with braking then goes off once you take your foot off the pedal.

If the TCL OFF light is flashing and the engine light is on when you brake, sounds like a faulty ABS sensor.

Have the ECU checked for error codes to confirm.

Yep. Grab the codes out of the ecu for us. Use the Haynes manual description as the process is 'free' to access the code/s.

download the service manual it has the procedure in there

My internet isn't up to it, it would take about 2 days

Can someone just give me the procedure in a way that doesn't involve purchasing a book or a large download

Get your alternator thoroughly checked.
I had engine warning, SRS, TCL Off and battery lights flashing for a while. Mitsi's blamed it on earthing of my after market head unit. Then discovered that my Alternator was failing (but not dead).
