i was driving home last night when all of a sudden turning a corner i got aquaplaned wheels were spinning everywhere and everything :O now the orange car slippy light is on on the dash and my steering is very tight. what is wrong?

Well the orange slippy light means there is a fault in the ABS system..... and it has been desabled. You can drive fine like that but you just wont have any ABS. Did you hit anything?

There might be just crap on the speed sensors (there is one on each wheel), or one might have failed.

If your steering is very tight there might be a problem with your power steering. Have you checked basic stuff like fanbelts etc?

this has happened to me... power steering line went pop and sprayed fluid all over the road under my wheels. Could be a similar issue esp. if the steering is really heavy.

all fixed, was the PS/ALT belt, steering obviously being tight coz i had no PS, the abs light cam on because it the alternator went out. :) so lucky i didnt do major harm
