Hi guys. First post here

I had an incident the other day where i was stopped on a steep hill (facing down) with the car still in reverse (I do paper runs) but the thing is I forgot it was still in reverse and took my foot off the brake to roll forwards which it did because the hill was very steep. The whole engine shut off. Is this some kind of fail safe to prevent damage?

DISCLAIMER: I have absolutely no actual idea so I'll let someone else correct me, but

I figure that if it tried really hard to roll forward while in reverse it'd stall the engine?

Yeah, its just stalled. Have done this before at like 70k's an hour.... accidently put it in reverse and the car just dies. Should be all sweet.
