Hey guys im back. Havent been on for a while!

I have a few issues with my VRX atm. If anyone has experienced these let me no.

Rattle undercar at the front middle before the bonnet. Thinking its exhaust. Only does it when cold.
when accelerating hard and revs go over 5000rpm, during the auto gear change a high pitch nails on chalk board sound is made.
frequent clunking from rear wheels when going over bumps or a harsh road.

If anyone has any insight let me no please. Im about to get my 60000km service. Quoted just over a grand for new timing belt and spark plugs. My jaw dropped. lol. All well gotta keep the old gal running smooth.

1) Exhaust Manifold heatshield rattling
2) Slipping belt
3)Clunking could be loose sway bar or your shocks are rooted/improperly connected

and timing belt at 60k a bit premature?

timing belts get changed every 100k not 60k....unless there's a problem with it?

Yeah my timing was done by the previous owner at just 50000kms, around 5yrs.

My suspension makes that noise too, haven't tracked it down yet.

Technically its every 60-100, depends on how up to date you like to keep your services (ie. if you are servicing every 5,000kms you generaly do a major service every 60,000).

Huh?

No....

Timing belts IIRC are 100 000km or 5 years, whichever comes first.

Well mines 60000km and 5 years so that must be why.
