Hi all,

Got home today and the wife advised me that there was a clunking sound coming from the front suspension. Took the car for a drive and confirmed the clunking. Tried pushing the R/H front up and down only to discover that it kept on bouncing. Thought the damper is stuffed. Jacked it up and removed wheel to find the oil in the damper had dumped itself all over the lower suspension.

So how much for a new replacement damper ? Anyone got a second hand one lying around. Not too fussed on second hand as the car is 12 yo with 270000km. Its served us well but will be gone within 12 months. Just need it to go for a short while longer.

Replacing the damper looks straightforward. Any tips or pitfulls ?

Cheers
Nigel

If you are in SA give Shawn from Phillcom Rally a buzz.. He's a sponsor here.
I just got a set of 4 from him at a much better price than $150 each :woot:
