I have a annoying noise in my dash its like something in a air vent sliding from side to side in hard cornering. Iv had the outlet in the dash off but cant see much. Very annoying when the stereo is off.
Also when filling up with fuel i get some fuel coming up and out at the end as the fuel pump stops, its like about 30ml that end up going down the side of my car, have only had the 380sx for a month or 2 so dont know if its faulty or its normal?

Dunno what the noise is, might be a screw thats come loose somewhere in the dash & is floating around. Have you checked everything is secure in your glovebox?
Re the fuel filling I don't have a problem with that but when it clicks off thats pretty well all she'll take. Do you go to the same servo all the time? Maybe try another with slower pumps?

Yer its not the glovebox it sounds like it comes from the driver side dash vent, it was a avis rent car so could be somthing that was put in the air vent by a idiot or some glass from a broken window.
all the same i love the car.And was half price with 44000km on it.
Also im looking at getting some side strips/door protectors from mitsu, Iv seen them on the GT380 and think it will stop a lot of dints from car parks when doors are opened into my car, looks like $74 a door so $300 ish and come painted i think because there was lost to choose from.
You had your car lowered i think, did you use king springs? interested in doing it and have seen some on ebay, think the ones on ebay are king spring lowered 30mm to 35mm but dont know the rate of them or the rate of the original SX springs or if the SX is low factory and do you need shocks with that?
Thanks for the reply, love your car.
Reminds me of the time my son dropped a tazo into the air vent...every time I used the air con, flap flap flap...flap...flap...flap flap flap....drove me crazy, until one day while using the air con it just flew out itself and hit me in the face...lol

Yep have the same issue with mine, just realised that I have to stop earlier as I gauge my fill to the fuel on the trip computer. luckily there is the hole in the fuel inlet area.

Yep King springs are the go, most of us on here have them. There are other brands which will also do the same job (Pedders, Lovells etc). I don't think anyone makes aftermarket shocks for the 380 so far but the SX will already have the firmer setup anyway.

What do you all think about the door protectors? i think it may look a bit daggy.
Also i have a iphone with a app that measures your 0-100 and 1/4 mile time from the g force its called pocket dyno. It seems quite accurate, i got a 6.6 sec 0-100km, max g's 0.53 ,max power 127kw @the wheels. Wasn't game to do a 1/4mile on a freeway but i think that is a good result for a stock 380 on reg 91 ron. Cant say its as good as a real dyno but seems in the ballpark of what to expect.
if i do more runs with better fuel and hold it in gear longer or do some mods at least ill have a gide on the improvements what do you think?

Another member on here recorded 135kw with intake & exhaust mods so I think your power reading would be fairly accurate. 6.6 sec 0-100km time is perhaps a bit optomistic for a standard 380!!

Hey all first time poster, joined a couple o days back.
with the noise.. I get something similar... kind of like a faint continuous ticking when revving up sometimes, anyone else get/notice this? I have no idea whats causing it.. all I know is that its coming from the front end of the vehicle

yours may be the lifters like blackstar had in his coming from the engine there is a whole thread on that http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74673
this is about dash noise rather than engine noise

oh wow... and here I thought it was just the air conditioners rattling because of the acceleration.. Thanks Mecha, will get it in to Mitsubishi ASAP.
