i have got slotted rotors & bedix pads going on some time this weekend i should do something about the calipers i have blue and red in the brake paint or should i just match the mitsu color?
The wheels are 17" 5 spoke antretti racing so you can see the breaks easy behind the rim, side on shot was before it was lowered the front shot shows the color difference as the pearl changes from blue to purple weird color i think its called natrulist blue?
just want something other than the rust look but dont want the caliper to be the focus ... so im open to ideas

Black or Silver unless you have massive **** off calipers.

Against your chrome wheels gloss black would look better

If you want to get away from the great rust look but don't want the caliper to be the focus point then I'd go for dark blue like your car (if you can get it in heat proof paint) or simple Black.
Failing that, maybe grey or silver?

Oddly I think black for your calipers  Unless you want ricey red, but with that ride height and no body bling it'll look poo. I had a TF exec same colour as your ride and with black windows and a polish it was always a good looker despite it's age. The Black and Dark Blue is win-win. Introducing other colours to the frey will draw attention to the wheels, where clearly that colour combo is best complimented only with those colours to give the car presence and fluidity. I know, I'm carrying on like an industrial design lecturer.
Paint the rotor caps too to make the rims look larger than they are - will help disguise the gap between ur tyres and guards.
Clear side indicators, tint them and a tint on the headlights and you'll look the biz!
We all know red brakes work faster :) J/k - Black or silver would be best imo.

Red would look nice with the chrome wheels (i will chase up a pic for you) but with the little single potters I would go blue or black on that car

Red.
I have white car and silver rims and red callipers - and black rotor bits.
It has been proven by Nasa that red is the least drag resistant color in high speed applications. Hence race drivers were red undies.

Gday mate!
I reakon a gloss black or chrome would look awesome!
IF you place red calipers in a blue car, it'll look crap. Blue and red, don't usually go together.
I reakon if you want to bling up the calipers then make them shiny and metalic but don't paint them a strong colour as your body color isn't very strong either.
Just my opinion anyway.

TheKovac
Attached dodgy photoshops of body colour, red and yellow.
Here's my silver calipers too:
