hey guys. I have recently bought my magna and now i have some plastic dragging. its the protective cover under the rediator that goes the full width of the car. just wondering if its a requirement for RWC to have it or can i take it off. if i have to keep it how much is a new one. cheers

i had mine off for a bit when i got my JVN bar on and that was rego time, my car passed, but it back on now

ok, any idea of a price to get a new one
its split and dragging in some areas and would rather not dodge it up

Yea pretty sure they aint vital to rego.

These seem to come off all cars. My mate had a BA Falcon and one day it just came off.

Stops mud getting into your engine bay, also improves air flow under the car.... Just remove it.

Check the 'Parts List' or "part number' thread - there is a revised part for that front splashguard, which is said to be improved - more durable and so on. Don't think it is very pricey - but its not a vital thing. I drive country roads so would prefer to keep this guard on, to avoid mud and dirt going everywhere. If you are confined to tar roads and not worried about a spotless engine bay, then you don't need it.

Removed mine long ago. Mainly to improve engine sump and gearbox cooling. Allegedly removing it wil hinder under-car aerodynamics. Possible yeah, by 1%....
I also supported the plastic bits with thin metal brackets, cos the mentioned plastic sheet (?) kept them together.
I would have never thougth of it being relevant to Rego issues. Not a structure or safety device.
