my 2000 Tj solara has a starting problem not sure what it could be. In the mornings when engine cold will start and then stall some people have said it could be the battery going flat but will start on the second try has any got any ideas on what it would be.

hi have you cleaned the isc (stepper motor) and the injectors

no but had some water in some fuel about four weeks ago could it be water and would metho help out

I always failed in the first start and good on second start, until I replace the battery, everything's fine. So I guess you can have a try with the battery.

Change the battery. How old is the one in the car at the moment.
If it is 3 or more years old then it will definitely be the casue of the problem.

Had this on my car a couple of years ago.
1 new battery has been fine since, except for the immobiliser circuit problem.
