Hay all

The seals on both sides of my gearbox witch my cvs pop into are slightly leaking what are the exact names of those seals.?

sounds good, cv shaft seals could be another. Just get them to print the picture and point to the ones you want. Or, take them out, go to cbc and pay about 1/10th the price of mits.

Whats/ where is cbc?
Do they also have the metal straps for the cv boot?

the metal strip clamp will come with a cv boot kit although may be availible separately , im not sure.

Kit price - around $13 per boot. Comes with grease and 2 straps, not very good ones, but you can reuse the originals.
Seals - aroun $$4-$5 each, easy to pull/replace. Local car parts shop should have them.
When you buy the boot kit take the boot out in the shop - they should be smooth and shiny, don't buy them if they have a dull colour with black dust on the outside or have cracks - I bought old stock, $30 each for 2 of these from mitsu and they didn't last 18 months.
