Hi im new to the forum i have a 2000 magna vrx. the bloke who owned it before me used to be a member on here.
Anyway i need to pick someones brains.
The magna is blowing fuse 15 which protects the engine and there is a 5 or an s showing up on the computer display.
Can someone tell me what that code means, if its the error with the fuel pump harness or ecu.
Much appreciated thanks

That's just a reset of the ECU, the "5" means Sedan, you can change it to "W" for wagon etc, just press "MODE" (I think it was) to choose the sedan, then "3.5" etc and everything should be good unless it blows another fuse.

Hey mate
you can press the long "mode" botton to change it.. or you can hold the 'mode" botton in to "set" it... ill explain below..
the S stands for Sedan.. and if you change it it changes to W for Wagon..
if you have a Sedan select S and if you have a Wagon select W
then it will come up with "35" or "30" that stands for your engine size.. select what one you have...
eg is you have a Sedan 3.5lt you will select "S" then "35"

Forget about the trip computer for now, it does nothing but tell you how far you have gone and how much fuel you have used. Resetting this will not resolve your fuse issue
I take it that this fuse keeps blowing either randomly or constantly
You will need to trace that circuit back until you find the fault, may be a componant but also may be a wire that has rubbed through somewhere as well
Once done, you select the w or s and then hold the mode button, same for engine size and hold

first thing i would try is take out the cover around the headunit and have a look in there for any damaged/shoddy wiring i was blowing all sorts of fuses cause one of the wires in there had frayed and was shorting to the metal in behind the cover
