Am going to upgrade my ks verada to buy a tj magna and wondering if there is much difference between the 3 litre and 3.5 litre and what sort of price you would expect to pay for one. Cheers.

3L = pov pack, dont buy one in the TJ
definately go the 3.5L :)

Hi mate! Good move. I also went from a KS to a KJ and the difference is like chalk and cheese. The 3.5 is a hell of a better engine and heaps more power. The 5 speed tippy is what you want if not going manual, it's more flexible and gives pretty good economy. The old ks auto with over drive doesn't compare.
You should be able to pick up a nice TJ for between 5-7 grand.

i still got a soft spot for the 3.0.... its a sweeter motor that loves to rev...

yea the 3.5 is a lot better for low down torque apparently, but my 3.0 is quite happy to rev it's tits off which is why I love it :D
oh btw go for manual, sooo much better!

Take both for test drives and make up your own mind mate, driven a 3L before and yeah loved to rev, never driven a 3.5L but they have sooooo much more torque...
