I know this problem may sound sorta ricey but... Here goes anyway...

I know its sounds a tad peculiar but I kinda like seeing speakers in motion... Especially 6x9's...

Now I am not sure about most of you but when I want to here a decent track... I head to the car... as it often sounds better then the $99 Tevion CD player in the lounge room...
So I often kick the car over.. hop into the Middle of the Back seat with my head between the front seats.. and relax...

Now my Boggle is......

How do I get to see my 6x9's in action without revealing them to wanna be theives???

Angled spacers and illegal tint (20-5%) - I'd say 15% is your best bet.

No Tint...... as strange as it sounds... it just makes the "Hoodies" break into your car more often to see what they couldn't see before...
Tint means you have something to hide... I prefer just to make it Stock looking as opposed to Angled and Tinted...

Well you can't make it stock and expose the speaker lol

Throw a grandpa quilt over the speakers when parked... That deters the hoodlums.

All I could suggest is removing the screws and threads from the speaker grilles, so they just sit on top. They will move with bass but they shouldn't make a noise given they're sitting on carpet, and you can pull them off when you want to.

lol don't do this, they make a shit tonne of noise. Although i have subs .

If you don't want tint, then really you can't "hide" your speakers, and "expose" them at the same time, lol.

i actually have a piece of cloth over the parcel shelf permanently, it looks a bit better than the blue carpet parcel shelf is made out of..

I spent $200 on a pair of 10-20 year old B&W DM610 speakers and a Sherwood RX1010 stereo amp for my bedroom and it absolutely murders the Alpine Type-R system I have in the car for sound quality, which is worth 8-10 times more than that (I paid less than half of what it's worth, all preloved bar the headunit), just running off a decent soundcard connected to my laptop. As for your idea to watch the speakers, honestly, I think you'd regret the effort you put in.
