I've done a bit of research and ive seen that either using a hot air gun or using strong fishing line to remove the badges are the best ways to do so. Is this true or are there better ways?

wait til summer, leave the car out in the sun on a 40 degree day, badges come off easy as piss...
that's what i did anyway lol so im guessing using a hair dryer to heat it up would be similar and then I used some citrus goo remover to get off any leftover glue stuff...

Hair dryer is the go..:)
TJ badges are wicked easy. Just use a credit-card of some kind of cut the glue.
Fishing line works well also .... then a bit of wax and grease remover

I used fishing line, wax and grease remover then a bit of cut and polish.
Just place the fishing line behind the badge and use a sawing motion. Easy as :)

use the fishing line, just like your flossing.

Move aside boys.
Use a few Girl tools, Hair Dryer and then Nail Polish Remover for the sticky stuff.

what about your paint, wouldnt the nail polish remover move it or damage it in some way?
if fishing line is sp****, you can use tooth floss too and have a minty fresh patch on the paint :)

Ya don't pour it over the paint work, just dab it on some cotton wool and gently rub the last of the sticky stuff off and then add some polish(no not nail polish, car polish) as you would anyway.
