Hey Guys,

Scored a new headunit for a pretty good price...

Pioneer AVH-P7950DVD http://www.pioneer.com.au/Products/Car%20Entertainment/PRS%20Pioneer%20Reference%20Series.aspx

has anyone got one of these? the box is the biggest box I've ever received for anything for my car, installing it looks to be a nightmare..

interested to hear from anyone who has one that could comment

Would not have got it myself.

I guess if it floats your boat then good, its your car :woot:

Things I do like:
Looks pretty damn nice

Things I dont like:
Auto time alignment (pioneer never nailed this on the head...)
Auto EQ

If you're running amps, then I would have picked a different HU and had an Alpine 5.1 processor chucked in, for the same price as this HU. You'de have more control over your system.

I guess its just not my cup of tea, I like to be able to fiddle with all the settings manualy :)

Pete, if you need a hand, let me know. 2 heads are better than one. :)

I came across rather harsh of that HU lol

As I said, not my cup of tea, if it suits your wants/needs then there's nothing wrong with it. Glad you didnt pay RRP tho hehe

What voltage are the RCA's?

You running amps or using the onboard 8 channel output?
